Meanwhile, Our Hero, Mr. Patton is putting in overtime on the homefront while I fill up my weekends with family photo sessions this fall season.
This image is from the High Line. A fantastic family, former New Yorkers, are in town to enjoy a weekend reunion with their college-aged son. First we capture some fun classic and candid images, then I encourage them to continue to explore the High Line while I grab a few unconventional shots. The youngest family member, a lively little four-year-old girl, takes to twirling, spinning and jumping, natch. I slow my shutter speed to playfully capture the essence of her free spirit.
This is from The One Where Jackie and Ron and The Kids Check Out the High Line. Be on the lookout for more from this fun session in the coming weeks!
[Note: This post is part of a year-long collaborative photography project dedicated to the exploration of composition. This week’s exploration is devoted to the use negative space to achieve balance. And how is your heart, soul and spirit today?
