After a restful week down on Tybee Island, we returned to Brooklyn to begin our summer at home. Our first outing: Brooklyn Bridge Park. We took a spin on Jane’s Carousel, enjoyed a Carousel Custard at the brand new Shake Shack, and explored the many splendid piers. We were excited to learn they are hosting “Movies With a View” on Pier 1 every Thursday night this summer. Up next: Beetlejuice. We’re hoping the weather cooperates so we can see Michael Keaton declare, “It’s showtime!”
We also took a break at Pebble Beach to throw rocks in the harbor and enjoy the view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges before the amazing city skyline.
This summer will be devoted to the simple pleasures New York City has to offer. We’re looking forward to the fun and lazy days ahead.
