Signs of Life

Last week for spring break, the children and I went on many assorted local adventures, including a trip to our favorite spot in the old neighborhood, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, to see how the cherry blossoms were faring. The long, harsh winter has the blossoms in a holding pattern: not a pink petal was to be found, Even this time last year – after what I am certain was an even frostier winter – the magnolia trees were in resplendent bloom during our visit. But  I did find a few lonesome magnolia blossoms coming out to say hello.

I am so glad winter is over, and our big move to our new home is behind us. It feels good to be making photographs again.
